LOS DEL SUR
Somos la mejor hinchada del pais y la mas numerosa de todas, siempre apollando al verde en la buenas y en la malas mucho mas, somos alegria somos carnaval ... los del sur alentado al nacional.
Todos basan su felicidad en nuestras tristesas pero nosotros basamos nuestra felicidad en nuestra propia grandesa.
Yo del verde naci y del verde me voy a morir
el rojo voz no existis yo soy del verde soy feliz
Cuando yo me muera yo quiero que mi cajon lo pinten de verde y blanco = que mi corazon cuando yo me muera no me vallan a llorar por que yo naci del verde y el verde es felicidada
Dicen que LOS DEL SUR no tenemos aguante pero poniendo huevo vamos adelante llenamos todas las canchas colombianas
En 1992 se creó el primer grupo de Barristas del Escándalo que querían hacer algo diferente para alentar al ATLETICO NACIONAL, sacaron algunas banderas y camisetas que llevaban al estadio, se seguían haciendo con el Escándalo, pero no se colocaban la camiseta de la barra, tenían sus banderas y sus camisetas, y hasta sacaron algunos cánticos que cantaban dentro de la barra, la mayoría de cánticos no gustaron por su estilo sureño, pero hubo otros cantos que el Escandalo luego acomodó a su estilo y comenzó a cantar. Este primer grupo se autodenominó HIJOS DEL SUR , por su influencia en el estilo del sur del continente, sus banderas, y trapos después de siete años todavía existen y son colocados con orgullo en la GLORIOSA tribuna SUR, como prueba verídica de su existencia. Este grupo se disolvió a través de los años y no pudieron hacer su sueño realidad de crear una barra en la popular.
En 1997 surgió un grupo mucho más grande y con mayor fuerza, muchos de sus integrantes pertenecientes a la Villa del Aburrá, urbanización donde LOS DEL SUR tienen muchos miembros. Este grupo tenía una tira, banderas y llevaba mucho humo al estadio, se ubicaba en oriental y surgió durante la supercopa en la que Nacional llegó a Semifinales, e influyeron realmente en la creación de LOS DEL SUR, pero por falta de comunicación, el día que se fundo oficialmente la barra LOS DEL SUR (20 DE NOVIEMBRE DE 1997) muchos se fueron para la tribuna oriental y es por eso que solo hubo 12 fundadores que se hicieron en SUR con 2 tiras y varias banderas, papel, rollos, humo y bengalas,aunque realmente la barra la comenzaron unas 30 personas, y tras un año de su fundación creció hasta los 1500 miembros.

Nuestra filosofía se basa en la concepción de que Los Del Sur mas que ser una barra, es una gran familia, integrada por personas de diferentes estratos sociales, diferencias religiosas, concepciones políticas, de edad, sexo, raza etc; unida por ese amor que se le tiene al Atlético Nacional y que se demuestra sanamente, al acompañarlo en todo momento, en todo lugar y brindarle un aliento incondicional en señal de agradecimiento a sus grandiosas gestas.
Hacerlo sentir local en lugares lejanos y adversos, brindar alegría y aportar un grano en esta que es considerada por nosotros como la fiesta futbolera de colombia. Para ello es de nosotros copar la populares de los estadios donde Nacional vaya a jugar, inundar las tribunas del verde, color de nuestra casaca y nuestro corazón, lanzar miles de rollos, banderas, tiras, trapos, globos, humo, sombrillas, béngalas y todas esas cosas que aportan alegría a la hinchada verdolaga junto con lo mas importante: brindar aguante desde la tribuna durante los noventa minutos.
Es esto lo que nos diferencia de los demás, no creemos en la violencia en la manera de lograr nuestros objetivos pues no nos consideramos ni somos barra bravas. La violencia es pues el más primario de nuestros recursos de defensa de nuestro colores, nuestros ideales, nuestros símbolos y nuestra integridad.
Es pues nuestro deber como buenos sureños respetar esta concepción simple y que resume nuestro estilo de vida.

Después de un estudio largo de asistencias en los estadios Colombianos se llegó a la conclusión de que el Atlético Nacional era el equipo con mayor número de seguidores en promedio en todo el país. Por su concepción de los puros criollos y por los títulos obtenidos, el cuadro verde es hoy el conjunto que más estadios llena en Colombia y supera al "deportivo independiente medellín", contrario a lo que los hinchas rojos defienden a capa y espada (su fidelidad como hinchas...).
Las barras en el estadio son un aliciente importante para el equipo y cada día crecen las agrupaciones de jóvenes que se unen para animar al equipo en todo el territorio nacional. Actualmente la barra más grande es la que lleva por nombre "Los del sur", con miembros en todo el país: apoyo importantísimo para el equipo paisa.
HOY A LAS PUERTAS DEL SIGLO 21, LOS DEL SUR SE HA CONSOLIDADO COMO LA BARRA POPULAR QUE ALGUNA VEZ LOS HIJOS DEL SUR SOÑARON CON MONTAR. EN MEDELLIN SE CUENTA CON CERCA DE 10..000 INTEGRANTES, Y ADEMAS HAY LOS DEL SUR BOGOTA , CALI, MANIZALES Y BUCARAMANGA, TODAS ESTAS BARRAS CON MANEJO INDEPENDIENTE Y MIEMBROS ORIUNDOS O HABITANTES DE CADA CIUDAD, PERO COBIJADAS POR UNA FILOSOFÍA COMÚN. LOS DEL SUR ES LA BARRA MAS VIAJERA DE COLOMBIA, SUPERANDO EN SUS DESPLAZAMIENTOS AL ESCANDALO VERDE POR NÚMERO DE INTEGRANTES Y POR EL AGUANTE Y LA AGRESIVIDAD PARA ENFRENTAR A LA HINCHADA LOCAL. En la actualidad tenemos conocimiento de una barra organizada con su infraestructura por fuera de la ciudad de Medellin, se trata de "Los del sur - Bogotá -"
Fundamentalmente se trata de toda una organizacion creada para los Bogotanos y paisas residentes en la Capital hinchas del verde de la montaña, tienen sus propios cantos, asi como características diferentes a las de los del sur-Medellin-.
Aliento importante para el equipo en sus confrontaciones en Bogotá.
THOSE OF THE SOUTH
In 1992 there was created the first group of Barristas of the Scandal that they wanted to make something different to encourage the ATHLETIC NATIVE, they extracted some flags and vests that were leading to the stadium, they continued being done by the Scandal, but the vest of the bar was not placed, had his(her,your) flags and his(her,your) vests, and even they extracted some canticles that they were singing inside the bar, the majority of canticles did not please for his(her,your) southern style, but there were other singings that the Scandal then accommodated to his(her,your) style and began to sing. This first group autonamed CHILDREN OF THE SOUTH, for his(her,your) influence in the style of the south of the continent, his(her,your) flags, and rags after seven years still(yet) exist and are placed proudly in the GLORIOUS SOUTH platform, in proof true of his(her,your) existence. This group dissolved across the years and they could not make his(her,your) dream real of creating a bar in the popular one.
In 1997 a much bigger group arose and with major force, many of his(her,your) members belonging to the Villa of the Aburrá, urbanization where THOSE OF THE SOUTH have many members. This group had a strip, flags and was taking very much smoke to the stadium, was located in orientally and it(he,she) arose during the superglass in National the one that came to Semi-finals, and they influenced really the creation of THOSE OF THE SOUTH, but for lack of communication, the day that I found(fuse) officially the bar THOSE OF THE SOUTH (20 GIVE NOVEMBER GIVES 1997) many they went away for the oriental platform and it(he,she) is because of it that alone there were 12 founders who did to themselves in SOUTH with 2 strips and several flags, paper(role), rolls, smoke and flares, though really approximately 30 persons began the bar, and after a year of his(her,your) foundation it(he,she) grew up to 1500 members.

Our philosophy is based on the conception of which Those Of The South mas that to be a bar, is a great family integrated(repaid) by persons of different social strata, religious differences, political conceptions, of age, sex, race etc; joined by this love that has him to the Athletic Native and that is demonstrated healthily, on having accompanied it at all time, in any place and to offer to him(her) an unconditional breath as a sign of gratefulness to his(her,your) grand exploits.To make it be sorry place in distant and adverse places, to offer happiness and to contribute a grain in this one that is considered by us as the holiday(party) futbolera of colombia. For it it(he,she) is of us to corner it popular of the stadiums National where it(he,she) is going to play, to flood the platforms of the green one, color of our jacket and our heart, to throw(launch) thousands of rolls, flags, strips, rags, globes, smoke, parasols, béngalas and all these things that contribute happiness to the group of football fans verdolaga together with important mas: to offer endurance from the platform during ninety minutes.

After a long study of assistances in the Colombian stadiums it(he,she) came near to the conclusion of which the Athletic Native was the equipment(team) with major number of followers in average in the whole country. For his(her,your) conception of the Creole cigars and for the obtained titles(degrees), the green picture is today the set that fills more stadiums in Colombia and overcomes to " sports independent medellín ", I contradict to what the red fans defend to cap and sword (his(her,your) loyalty like fans ...).The bars in the stadium are an important inducement for the equipment(team) and every day there grow the young men's(women's) groups that join to encourage the equipment(team) in the whole national territory. Nowadays the biggest bar is the one that takes for name " Those of the south ", with members in the whole country: the most important support for the equipment(team) paisa.
TODAY On the verge of The 21ST CENTURY, THOSE OF THE SOUTH HAVE BEEN CONSOLIDATED AS THE POPULAR BAR THAT AT SOME TIME THE CHILDREN OF THE SOUTH DREAMED OF MOUNTING. IN MEDELLIN ONE COUNTS WITH NEAR 10 .. 000 MEMBERS, AND IN ADDITION THERE IS THOSE OF SOUTH BOGOTA, CALI, MANIZALES AND BUCARAMANGA, ALL THESE BARS WITH INDEPENDENT MANAGING AND NATIVE MEMBERS OR INHABITANTS OF EVERY CITY, BUT SHELTERED BY A COMMON PHILOSOPHY.THOSE OF THE SOUTH IT IS THE MOST TRAVELLING BAR OF COLOMBIA, OVERCOMING IN HIS(HER,YOUR) DISPLACEMENTS TO THE GREEN SCANDAL FOR NUMBER OF MEMBERS AND FOR THE ENDURANCE AND THE AGGRESSIVENESS TO FACE TO THE LOCAL GROUP OF FOOTBALL FANS.
